Who we are
This website is run by Seventh Continent, Avenida Coronel Niceto Vega 4736, Palermo, Buenos Aires, Argentina. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean Seventh Continent.
For anything about your personal data, email [email protected].
2
What we collect
Only what you choose to send us: through the enquiry form, through the expedition planner, your name, email address, phone number, how you prefer to be contacted, travel dates, the size of your party, your interests, budget and notes; through the newsletter form, your email address. If you write to us by email, we keep that correspondence.
If you book, we also collect what is needed to arrange the trip, such as the names of everyone travelling, dates of birth and passport details where suppliers require them, dietary and access needs, and emergency contacts.
Please do not send payment card details or detailed health information by email or through the form.
3
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry, plan a trip with you and, if you go ahead, book and run it. The legal basis is the steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract, the performance of that contract, your consent where we ask for it, and our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.
We do not sell your details, and we only send you news or offers if you ask us to.
4
Who we share it with
Your enquiry reaches us through our own website server (hosted by Vercel Inc., United States), which forwards it to our inbox.
If you book, we share only what is needed with the hotels, lodges, transport companies, guides and local partners in Antarctica and its gateway countries (usually Argentina or Chile) who deliver your trip, and with your travel insurer if you ask us to. Some of them are outside your own country; where that is the case, we share the minimum needed to deliver the service you have asked for.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
5
Cookies and local storage
We do not run analytics, personalisation or marketing cookies. If we add any in future, they will only load after you allow them in the cookie settings. See the cookie policy for what the site stores in your browser.
6
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not become a booking for 24 months from our last contact, then delete them. Booking records are kept for as long as accounting and consumer law require, usually six years after the trip.
7
How we protect it
Your details are kept in password-protected email and file storage that only the people planning your trip can reach. The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
8
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable format, or to withdraw your consent at any time. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the data-protection authority in the country where you live.

Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the way we use personal data changes. Last updated 30 October 2026.
