On selected voyages, qualified mountain guides lead small, roped groups onto glaciers and up modest peaks above the landing sites. Early in the season, deep snow makes snowshoeing the best way to travel inland.

Routes are chosen on the day for safety and conditions. You don't need to be an alpinist, but you do need good fitness and a head for open, exposed terrain.
